Corneal transplant recipients have a unique connection to the eye donation community — one that many want to explore but aren’t sure how. This toolkit was developed by the Eye Bank Association of America to support eye banks in nurturing that connection, providing resources that complement existing recipient programs and help fill in the gaps. From educational materials that explain the donation and transplantation process to templates for reaching out to donor families, these resources are designed to make it easier for eye banks to engage recipients at every stage of their journey.
This toolkit is meant to be à la carte — eye banks can pick and choose what fits their existing programs and incorporate individual pieces as needed. Not every resource will be right for every eye bank, and that’s intentional.
All materials are available as Word documents and PDFs. Templates are designed to be customized — eye banks can add their logo, contact information, and local details to make each piece their own.
