EBAA’s staff is dedicated to serving eye bankers and corneal surgeons to further the association’s mission to restore sight worldwide.

Kevin Corcoran, CAE

President/CEO

Kevin has spent the entirety of his professional career working with or for non-profit organizations. He started in membership and communications and has served as CEO of three associations, joining EBAA in 2011. Kevin believes that an association is most effective when it commits to strengthening its relationships with its members and supporting their needs. He graduated from Georgetown University with a degree in marketing and in his spare time, when he’s not driving his beloved Saturn Sky, is the referee for his community pool’s swim team.

Jennifer DeMatteo, MCM, CIC

Director of Regulations and Standards

Jennifer is a Healthcare Epidemiologist with more than twenty years of experience in acute and ambulatory infection prevention and control. She earned her bachelor’s degree in microbiology from the University of Pittsburgh, a master of science degree in clinical microbiology from Hahnemann University (now Drexel University), and is certified in infection control & epidemiology (CBIC). In her spare time, Jennifer is the Vice President of her community garden club, enjoys playing with her puppy Coco Chanel, and kayaking the many rivers which feed into the Chesapeake.

Stacey Gardner, CAE

Director of Education

Stacey has 15 years of experience in education, certification, and events, and is dedicated to delivering quality programs and services for the EBAA membership. She is originally from southern California and earned her bachelor of arts degree in political science from the University of California at Santa Barbara. She currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Anaheim Outdoor Science Education Foundation and the Professional Development Section Council for the American Society of Association Executives. Stacey spends her free time cheering on the Washington Nationals, kayaking, exploring the outdoors, and taking photos.

Colleen Bayus, MA

Director of Communications

Colleen has more than a decade of experience in communications and marketing.. She earned bachelor’s degrees in Communications and Political Science from the University of Pittsburgh, and a master’s in Mass Communication and Media Studies from San Diego State University. Colleen is a fan of all the Philly sports teams and bleeds Eagle green.

Genevieve Magnuson, MS

Project Manager

Genevieve has been with EBAA since 2016 and is passionate about providing resources and services to the eye banking and corneal transplantation communities. Genevieve earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Shippensburg University, and earned her master of science degree in organizational development and leadership with a concentration in business, also from Shippensburg University. Genevieve has a personal connection to EBAA’s mission, as her father was a corneal donor who gave the gift of sight to two individuals.

Herocia Hawkins

Administrative Assistant

Herocia has spent her entire professional career in the customer service industry. She has received awards throughout her career including the most recent, Sparkle Factor Award, for her pleasant disposition and professionalism. She has also planned and managed over 30 events including, Bike To Work Day for years 2019 and 2021. Herocia enjoys helping others and often reads fantasy fiction in her spare time.
