Celebrating National Minority Donor Awareness Month

August 10, 2022

August is National Minority Donor Awareness Month. This annual observance is a collaborative initiative of the National (Organ, Eye, and Tissue Donation) Multicultural Action Group (NMAG). As NMAG members, EBAA is committed to improving the quality of life for diverse communities by creating a positive culture for eye, organ, and tissue donation.

During NMDAM, transplantation organizations bring increased awareness to the need for more eye, organ, and tissue donors within multicultural communities, provide donation education, inspire donation registration, and promote healthy living to reduce the need for transplantation.

For more information on NMDAM, see the NMAG website. To learn some different cultural perspectives on eye donation, we invite you to join us for a panel webinar, “National Minority Donor Awareness Month: Multicultural Perspectives on Eye Donation” taking place on Thursday, August 25, at 2 PM Eastern. This session is free, but please register in advance.
