Candidate Statement
Advocacy for donor-heroes, donor families, and advancing the impactful work we do as eye bankers is my motivation and passion behind seeking a board position. There is no shortage of challenges that we face as a profession and fortunately we possess the expertise and drive to face and overcome these obstacles. Like previous members of the EBAA Board, I want to contribute and help shape the future of the association to ensure future eye bank professionals can benefit from the same opportunities that I have been offered, and to ensure we are prepared as an association that can thrive in a constantly evolving healthcare space. As a Board Member, I will bring an extensive background with multiple aspects of donation and a unique perspective as a leader of an eye bank affiliated with a multi-state organ and tissue procurement organization. My participation would serve to create a board that more completely represents the composition of its membership and provides an additional resource for issues shared among our donation partners. I am experienced with and passionate about the strategic planning process and aspire to help the board drive new and ongoing projects to fruition. Thank you!
