Personal Statement
Similar to many organizations in the initial post-COVID-19 world, eye banking and the association are facing new challenges related to staffing, supply chain issues, contracture and increased cost. I have been honored to serve the association during several transformative periods such as navigating for profit eye banking, the reorganization structure of the board, the ever advancing modernization of the accreditation process, and our response to COVID-19. Together as an association we have made many strides over the years.
I am an advocate for change, that seeking to advances the profession with a commitment to ensuring safety for recipients through quality of life improvement. We are facing another transformative period and there is much work to do to ensure the continued success of the association members. I hope to bring a global perspective to the board, having worked with the AATB as they have navigated several similar issues of retaining and engaging members. I look forward to working with you to bring forth your voices. Together we serve.
