The Technician Education Seminar was a global event this year. We welcomed 60 attendees to the virtual course from the US, Canada, New Zealand, Australia, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Norway, Ireland, Great Britain, Korea, Indonesia and Saudi Arabia. The virtual course took place January through February and featured more than 30 on-demand sessions and videos, three live workshops, online discussions, and much more.
The live sessions featured an excision demonstration, a whole globe dissection, an interactive lesson on aseptic technique, unique case studies, opportunities for small group discussion, deeper instruction on topics covered in the on-demand sessions and more.
Our sincere gratitude to everyone who contributed sessions to this course and a special thank you to the faculty who planned and participated in the live sessions: Ingrid Schunder, MBA, CEBT (Miracles In Sight); Dana Owens, CEBT (Eversight); Chris Conwell, CEBT (Sierra Donor Services Network); Paul Graves, CEBT, CTBS (Advancing Sight Network); Chelsea Green, CEBT (Iowa Lions Eye Bank) and Kristen McCoy, MS, CEBT, CTBS (Miracles In Sight).
