Candidate Bio
Jason Brosious, RN, MSN, CEBT, has been in healthcare for the last 32 years, Starting in the hospital system but finding a home in eye banking. With 24 years of eye banking experience, he has served at every level of his own eye bank, and on multiple levels within the EBAA. Jason graduated in 2003 with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and received his Master of Science in Nursing with a focus on leadership and management in 2011. He currently serves on both the Accreditation Board and Medical Advisory Board for the EBAA, and The Lions Eye Bank Work Group for Lions Club international.
Candidate Statement
I learned about eye banking while working in a local emergency room and was immediately called to it. Even after getting my nursing degree, I have never looked back, this is my home. Day after day we experience the dramatic impact our work has on our recipients. Working side by side with this community to make corneal transplants more accessible, more reliable, and improve outcomes. I have dedicated my life to helping anywhere I can and I know that as an at-large member of the Board of Directors, I can continue to serve this community that I care about.
