Candidate Statement
Having devoted 28 years to eye banking, I have held leadership positions in two large eye banks. Throughout my career, I’ve actively participated in various committees within the EBAA, including serving on the Technician Education Committee and as faculty for the TES for the last 12 years. I am passionate about the donation industry and its impact on individuals and communities. For the past two years, I have had the privilege of serving as an at-large board member. This experience has provided invaluable insights into the association’s strategic direction and the industry’s challenges. The EBAA strives to find new opportunities to support the member eye banks, and I am excited to continue supporting these efforts. The skills that I have acquired being on the board for the last two years and my experience in multiple leadership roles continue to provide me with an understanding of the challenges facing eye banks and staff. I believe in collaboration, partnership, and working toward a common goal. I am dedicated to the eye banking industry and would like to continue bringing my passion and energy to the board to represent and serve the association.
