Registration is open for the 2022 Annual Meeting
June 1-4, in Baltimore, Maryland.


The Annual Meeting is a favorite among eye bank professionals and corneal surgeons. This four-day event features dynamic workshops, concurrent sessions, and the opportunity to network with other donation and transplantation professionals from around the country.

Registration Information

Registration Types

Full Meeting Registration: The entire 2022 Annual Meeting program, including admittance to all educational sessions, the Exhibit Hall, luncheons, continental breakfasts, Exhibit Hall Reception, and one Annual Dinner and Awards Program ticket.

Physician Program Registration: A two-day program (Friday and Saturday) for physicians, featuring admission at the MAB Meeting & Friday sessions, Medical Director Symposium, Scientific Symposium, continental breakfasts, one Physician luncheon ticket, and one Annual Dinner and Awards Program ticket. Please note: If you plan to attend sessions earlier in the week, the Full Meeting registration is required. To qualify for the Resident/Fellow rate, one must be currently active in a residency or corneal fellowship program.

Guest Registration: An option for registrants who want to include their spouse, companion, or friend in the social activities of the EBAA Annual Meeting. The registration includes continental breakfasts, daily refreshment breaks, luncheons, receptions, and one Annual Dinner and Awards Program ticket. Please note: Guest registration is not available to individuals in the eye banking community, and does not include the social event.

The Annual Meeting will be held at the Hilton Baltimore Inner Harbor. The hotel is located at 401 West Pratt Street, Baltimore, MD 21201.

EBAA has secured a room block with the discounted rate of $189/night plus taxes. The deadline to reserve a room in the room block is May 8.

Thursday, June 2

Dive into an evening of networking and aquatic wonder at the National Aquarium in the Baltimore Inner Harbor. Bennie Jeng, MD, leads a panel discussion on the Future of Eye Banking and Corneal Transplantation. Speakers present an overview of the current research that is being conducted on growing endothelial cells and corneal tissue regeneration and discuss the future of keratoplasty and eye banking.  Learn about the current research landscape and what that could mean for the future or eye banking and corneal transplantation.

Ex-vivo Expansion of Limbal Stem Cell:  From Bench to Bedside
Speaker: Sophie Deng, MD, PhD, Stein Eye Institute, UCLA

Sophie Deng, MD, PhD, discusses her current research on ex-vivo expansion of limbal stem cells and the potential future use in sight restoration. Dr. Deng presents an overview of her research, highlight the future use of limbal stem cells in corneal therapies and discuss how this research could affect eye banks and transplantation in the future. Learn about the discoveries that have been made and what could be on the horizon.
