2018 Eye Donation Month
Since it was proclaimed by President Ronald Reagan in 1983, EBAA has used the month as an opportunity to educate the public about the importance of registering to be a donor, about cornea donation and transplantation, and to acknowledge the important work of our member eye banks.
The Power of You!
This year’s Eye Donation Month campaign is centered around the theme, The Power of You, which acknowledges the entire community of people who are involved in the journey of sight restoration.
The campaign demonstrates the “power” that individuals have in building hope, restoring sight and changing lives, including healthcare professionals and partners, researchers, eye bank staff, corneal surgeons, and recipients and donor families.
You have the power to give someone the gift of sight by registering as an eye, organ, and tissue donor today!

Share Your Stories With Us!
There are hundreds of inspiring stories about cornea donation, transplantation, and the amazing gift of sight. Using this year’s theme of “The Power of You,” we’d like to spotlight individuals involved with or impacted by eye donation and the restoration of sight, from start to finish. We’ll use these stories for social media posts, newsletter articles, press releases, etc. throughout our month-long awareness and education campaign to highlight the importance of the gift of sight and to encourage others to register to become eye, tissue, and organ donors. Share your stories with us today!
