Executive Director, Donor Network of Arizona
As an EBAA At-Large Board member I will bring my eye banking experience, extensive business acumen and leadership to the position. For the past ten years, I have been privileged to be the Director of Tissue Services at Donor Network of Arizona. My responsibilities include the eye bank and tissue recovery clinical operations and business performance. Prior to joining DNA, I held multiple positions as a sales professional, clinical trainer and executive in an international specialized pharmaceutical and capital equipment sales organization. My career also includes extensive clinical and management experience in diagnostic imaging. I believe my clinical knowledge in eye banking and extensive healthcare business experience will provide me insight that will support the mission and vision of the EBAA.
I started my career in eye banking only knowing the generosity of others. I’m a two-time corneal recipient. I received my first corneal transplant in Sacramento, CA. followed by a second transplant in Phoenix, AZ. I’m humbled daily by the enormous generosity of individuals and donor families who say yes to donation. The generosity of others and the commitment of professional eye bankers is my driving force to contribute more to the EBAA and my profession. As an At-Large board member I would commit to be the voice of all eye banks. As a member of the EBAA Board of Directors, I will bring a unique personal perspective as a corneal recipient as well as my professional perspective as an eye bank director. I will be humbled and honored to represent corneal recipients and eye bank professionals as a member of the EBAA board.
