Candidate Statement

I have been in eye banking for 26 years and in leadership roles in two large eye banks. Over the years, I have been active on many different committees within the EBAA. I have served on the Technician Education Committee and as faculty for the TES for 11 years. I have a passion for eye banking and its impact on individuals and communities. I want to continue to grow with the industry and get more involved with the strategy and direction of the association.

I believe that my experience in multiple leadership roles and being intricately involved in the Technician Education Committee has provided me with an understanding and a sense of the challenges facing eye banks and staff. I believe in collaboration, partnership, and working together toward a common goal. I strive to be authentic, honest, and transparent. I am dedicated to the eye banking industry, and I would like to bring my passion and energy to the board to represent and serve the association.
