This position is responsible for the preparation of corneal tissue for use in the Endothelial Keratoplasty (EK) procedures and ensuring suitability of the tissue following the preparation procedure. This position is also responsible for acting in the capacity of an ocular recovery coordinator when necessary, determining and performing the initial medical suitability and screening of all ocular, musculoskeletal and/or cardiovascular donors for transplant and/or research recovery. Requirements:
The Public and Professional Relations Coordinator must be self-motivated. He or she must be able to set and accomplish goals independently yet be able to work within multidisciplinary teams. In addition, the coordinator must be able to think and work creatively under pressure in the public and professional arena. Strong interpersonal communication skills are essential. Public speaking is an important aspect of work in this department so the coordinator must be comfortable in front of large and small groups. Strong writing skills are required.

Statewide travel is occasionally required and travel within the Denver metro area and front range is frequent. Candidates must have a valid driver's license, car and car insurance. Mileage is reimbursed.
